Rath Yatra, also known as the Festival of Chariots, is one of the most celebrated and eagerly awaited festivals in India, particularly in the state of Odisha. 🌿 The festival is dedicated to Lord Jagannath (a form of Lord Krishna), his brother Balabhadra, and his sister Subhadra. The name &quot;Rath Yatra&quot; is derived from the Sanskrit words &quot;Rath&quot; (chariot) and &quot;Yatra&quot; (journey or procession).

The festival signifies the annual journey of Lord Jagannath, along with his siblings, from their temple, the Jagannath Temple in Puri, to the Gundicha Temple, which is located about 3 kilometers away. 🏯 This journey is symbolic of the visit of Lord Jagannath to his birthplace. The Rath Yatra festival is a time of immense joy, devotion, and enthusiasm for devotees who gather from all parts of India and the world to witness this grand event. 🌏

<h4>How is Rath Yatra Celebrated? 🎉</h4>

Rath Yatra is celebrated with grand festivities and an elaborate procession:

	<li>Preparation of the Chariots 🛠️: Weeks before the festival, three gigantic chariots are constructed from scratch using wood. Each chariot is unique, with specific dimensions and colors representing the three deities.</li>
	<li>Deities&#39; Procession 👑: On the day of Rath Yatra, the deities are brought out of the Jagannath Temple in a ceremonial procession called &quot;Pahandi.&quot; Amidst chanting of hymns, drum beats, and conch shells, the deities are placed on their respective chariots.</li>
	<li>Pulling of Chariots 👫: Devotees from all over the world gather to pull the chariots through the streets of Puri. This act is considered highly auspicious and a privilege, as it symbolizes the devotees&#39; willingness to serve and be close to the divine.</li>
	<li>Celebrations at Gundicha Temple 🕌: Upon reaching the Gundicha Temple, the deities stay there for nine days. During this period, numerous rituals, prayers, and cultural performances take place.</li>
	<li>Return Journey (Bahuda Yatra) 🔄: After the nine-day stay, the deities make their return journey to the Jagannath Temple, marking another grand procession similar to the initial journey.</li>

Participants not following rules while uploading in any single entry will not be choosen for winner evaluation

<li>Ensure that the artwork you upload is original.</li>
 

<li> Take photos of your artwork from the beginning steps, including creating the outline, shading, and coloring if applicable.</li>
<li> Writing name and date of creation, with contrast color PEN in each entry is mandatory.</li>
<li> Include a photo of yourself holding the artwork and upload a maximum of five photos.</li>
<li>Previously created artwork are not considered and will be disqualified for winner evaluation</li>
 
<li> Any artwork without the mentioned steps will not be considered for winning.</li>
<li>Winners will receive certificates, prizes, and appreciation.</li>
