Teachers are a very crucial part of our lives. Also known as our second parents, teachers help us grow and nurture into responsible and knowledgeable individuals. From learning to read & write to learning about life values, any learning done by us is meaningless without a teacher. Hence, in order to appreciate the efforts taken up by our teachers in order to produce a responsible and wise person in the society, we celebrate Teacher's Day.

Teachers Day is one such event to which students and teachers equally look forward to. The Day is important for students as it gives them a chance to understand the efforts put in by their teachers to ensure that they get a proper education. Similarly, teachers also look forward to the Teachers’ Day celebration as their efforts get recognised and honored by students as well as other agencies.

India celebrates Teacher’s Day on the 5th of September every year. A request from the second President of India when he was asked to celebrate his birthday marks the beginning of the Teacher’s Day celebrations in India. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (the second president of India) when approached by some of his friends and students requesting him to allow them to celebrate his birthday on 5 September responded saying, “Instead of observing my birthday discreetly, it would be my pompous privilege if 5th September is scrutinized as Teachers' Day". Since then, India has celebrated Teacher's the Day on the 5th of September for almost 4-5 decades.

Many countries celebrate their Teachers' Day on 5 October in conjunction with World Teachers' Day, which was established by UNESCO in 1994 while some countries celebrate the Teacher’s Day on some other dates.

The submission should be in any medium like paper, chart paper

It should also include your one liner message/slogan for the theme

You can upload maximum of 5 Images  of your artwork from different perspective

• Take 3 photos from different angle
• Take  at least 1 photos while you are drawing/painting/poster i.e. when the 50% of the work is completed
• Take one photo of artist with final artwork (optional)

Age Group: Any
