Drawing contest on world lion day

World Lion Day is celebrated on August 10 of every year to raise awareness about lions and to mobilize support for their protection and conservation. According to the World Wide Fund for animals (WWF), even though a lion is often referred to as the “king of the jungle,” it actually only lives in grasslands and plains. The initiative to protect the big cats started in 2013 and the first World Lion Day was celebrated that year. Since then, it has become a symbol in the fight to protect the majestic species. According to the WWF, lions were once found throughout Africa, Asia and Europe but their numbers have dwindled over the years in these continents. The last remaining population of the Asiatic Lions can be found in Gujarat's Gir National Park. Hence, in order to raise awareness on the reducing population of Lions, the World Lion Day is celebrated in order to educate, protect and raise awareness regarding this global issue.

Theme: Draw an artwork of a Lion

Contest Rules:

The submission should be in any medium like paper, chart paper etc

It should also include your one liner message/slogan for the theme

You can upload maximum of 5 Images  of your artwork from different perspective

• Take 3 photos from different angle
• Take  at least 1 photos while you are drawing/painting i.e. when the 50% of the work is completed
• Take one photo of artist with final artwork (optional)

Age Group: 5 -30 years
